I know that right now, ammo is very hard to find. But that doesn’t mean you can’t practice and train! In fact, there are three ways you can keep your skills up, even without firing a single round! (And if you DO want to try and get your hands on some live fire, this is one option.) But basically when it comes to at-home training without ammo, you can… 1. Train with airsoft. This has no recoil and the gun won’t be as realistic, but it’s fun, and some of the skills are the same. |
2. Train with dry fire. This means drawing, aligning the sights, and pulling the trigger with your “real” gun EMPTY (and you have to keep the ammo in a different room when you do).
3. Train with a laser pistol, like SIRT or LaserLyte. This is a gun that projects a laser dot when you pull the trigger. It doesn’t do any damage, like airsoft, and it’s pretty realistic, plus you get to see where the “shot” would go.
Just do your best to keep your hand in – because the ability to feed your guns shouldn’t be left up to chance!
