Everybody is aware that at some point, the self-defense weapons they carry could malfunction, be taken away, or run out of ammo… and put you in a situation that could potentially cost you everything.
Knowing you have something at your disposal that is easy to use and lethally effective can make a huge difference.
There is one choice that stands out among the others. It’s simple to learn and incredibly powerful. Anyone, big or small, can easily adapt and use it as a weapon to apply deadly force very effectively.
Many people probably agree with me when I say that approaching a fight with a tactical tomahawk will give you a significant psychological edge over most (common) opponents.
In fact, there’s a good chance that before even attacking, their adversaries will feel defeated and bolt from the scene.
It’s an intimidating weapon.
More specifically, the sharp-tail style lends itself particularly well to self-defense in a CQC face-off.
The large protruding spike on what is typically referred to as the “hammer-side” provides tactical and self-defense advantages over the majority of other tomahawks.
You can use it to disarm an opponent or hook an attacker’s arm, limb, or other limb – a close-quarters combat technique that is absolutely devastating… just make sure you’re the one holding the tomahawk .
Taking advantage of these “1-ups” is what being prepared is all about.

P.s. Many years ago Cold Steel published a small 7-page guide (or info-graphic) called, “Fighting With a Tomahawk.” It included some basic information on the advantages/disadvantages of tomahawks, choosing a tomahawk and a few basic stances (nothing to write home about, but it does have some useful tips).
Surprisingly, it came up with just a quick search, and so I have included it for your viewing pleasure (and/or amusement). You’ll find the download button/link at the bottom (no requirements to access it or anything).
